Major BGT Update!

We are happy to announce the release of a new BGT beta with some major feature improvements, as well as the possibility to pre-order any one of the three licenses for the engine. When pre-ordering you not only get the possibility to compile your games into standalone executables, you also get to take part in a pre-order exclusive survey that allows you to shape the future of the engine's development based on your own wants and wishes. Punching Time!

Considering the happy and festive atmosphere of summer, we at Blastbay Studios thought it was time to wipe the grin off of everyone's faces and bring some violence back into the world. No, not really, but we did decide to bring you an all new arcade/action game to keep you busy on one of those rainy and uneventful days that somehow always manage to sneak into even the hottest summers.

We are proud to announce the release of Palace Punch-up, a free game where your objective is to throw massive rocks at your opponent's palace in order to turn it into a pile of debris. At the same time, you have to defend your own palace from suffering the same sad end. This game can be played both against the computer and against a human opponent over the internet. Hacker Attack Recovery!

Blastbay Studios was recently subjected to two massive hacker attacks, which caused our website to be infected with trojans and spyware. In order to protect our customers we shut down the website at once, and moved to a new server with greater security features than our previous one offered. We have been working hard to restore the site and are confident that everything is working, but if you should happen to find anything not functioning properly then please let us know. Thank you!

The Blastbay Game Toolkit (BGT) beta version 0.1 released!

We are proud to announce the release of beta version 0.1 of our new and revolutionary game creation toolkit, BGT. This tool allows you to create audio games from the ground up, without having to have any prior programming experience whatsoever. The tool features a powerful game engine that is controled by an extremely versatile scripting language, forming a tool that should suit beginners and pros alike. New Forum and Newsletter!

We have now introduced a fully functional discussion forum, in which it is possible to talk about all things Blastbay. There is currently a general discussion forum but we will be adding new categories in the near future.
We have also set up a newsletter that you are more than welcome to subscribe to. Just click on the "Maling List" link in the menu and follow the instructions. This is not a discussion group, it is a news only outlet.
The old discussion mailing list will be removed shortly, as it has been replaced by the forum and the newsletter. Welcome aboard!

Elf Attack!

Poor old Santa Claus. Right when he is in his most jolly mood, a major catastrophe strikes in his otherwise so peaceful workshop. An angry elf called Borgot who is extremely unhappy with his working conditions has managed to get the other elves behind him in a massive revolution. Help Santa to recover all the gifts so that he can fly off on his sleigh as usual, while taking just enough time to show the elves who's boss!

We are happy to present you with a rather unusual Christmas game, perfect if you need a bit of stress relief and a good laugh. Click on the "Games" link in the menu and then choose "Kringle Crash". Merry Christmas!

Q9 1.1 released!

A new version of the Q9 Action Game is now available for download. This update includes many bug fixes, a new playing mode, a new enemy type and countless performance improvements. This should make it possible to play the game even on slower computers. Please consult the change log provided in the manual for more details.

Click the "Games" link in the menu to download the new release. Please note that older saved games are not compatible with this new version, however the registration data for existing customers will remain intact.

The Aliens Are Coming!

Blastbay Studios is proud to present a new and exciting side scroller game filled with action, high quality audio and a touch of morbid humor. The little alien Q9 has crashed on this pleasant little planet of ours, but unfortunately it is not to his taste and he desires desperately to go back home. You have to guide him through 12 intense levels divided into four different worlds, killing anything that comes your way and picking up all the extra goodies that are lying around in order to complete your quest.

Merry Christmas and a Major Release!

We wish all of you who celebrate it, a very merry Christmas and a happy new year. We are also incredibly pleased to announce the launch of a new section of our website, royalty free music! We currently have one collection of music available, called Film Score Themes which contains a grand total of 60 fully orchestrated tracks that are perfect for use in films and video games and similar applications. Blastbay Oggdec Released!

We have now released a small, freeware Ogg Vorbis decoder dll intended for software developers wishing to integrate Ogg Vorbis decoding into their applications quickly and easily. See "Developer Resources" for more information.

The Blastbay Studios website was launched! It currently lacks a lot of content but it will be updated a great deal over the next few weeks.
